Your pictures. Clear permissions.

A plain-language guide to what you can do with AddSpeechBubble exports and ready-made bubble assets.

Making a picture should not leave you wondering where you can share it. This licence explains the permissions for the bubble elements and ready-made PNGs provided by AddSpeechBubble. It separates everyday personal use from commercial work, and finished creations from the raw assets used to make them. The same distinction applies whether you work on a phone, a tablet, or a computer.

These permissions cover material supplied by AddSpeechBubble. They do not give us ownership of your pictures, and they cannot grant permission to use somebody else’s material. If you are planning a project that is not clearly covered below, contact us with an example of the intended use before publishing or selling it.

Free: personal and non-commercial

You may use free-tier exports and our ready-made PNG speech bubbles for personal and non-commercial projects. That includes a joke sent to friends, a family photo with a caption, a hobby comic you share without monetising it, or a classroom activity that is not sold. You may resize and position the bubble, add your own text, and combine it with a photograph or drawing you are allowed to use.

Attribution is appreciated but is not required. A link to AddSpeechBubble helps other people find the tool, but you do not have to add a credit line or keep a watermark on a personal export. If the project becomes advertising, paid client work, merchandise, or content for a monetised channel, use Pro for its commercial licence.

Pro: commercial finished work

Pro allows commercial use of everything you export with AddSpeechBubble while you have Pro access. You can put the finished images in advertisements, social campaigns, videos on monetised channels, presentations for a business, and work delivered to paying clients. You can also print your compositions on merchandise such as shirts, posters, or stickers, provided the item is your finished creative work rather than a resale of the raw bubble asset.

You do not need to attribute AddSpeechBubble in those finished exports. Your clients may use the finished work you deliver for the agreed project. Pro gives you permission to include our bubble elements in that work; it does not transfer ownership of our asset library, software, or brand. Check the Pro plans if your next project needs commercial use.

Finished designs are different from asset packs

Neither tier permits reselling or redistributing the raw bubble assets as-is. For example, do not download the PNG collection and sell it as a new sticker asset bundle, offer the same files in a stock graphics library, or package the original bubbles as your own design resource. Changing a filename, recolouring a border, or putting several untouched bubbles in a zip does not turn the collection into a new finished project.

A composition with your own photograph, writing, illustration, or layout is different: the bubble helps communicate your idea. A client advertisement containing a character’s dialogue is a finished design. A downloadable folder whose purpose is to give buyers our original bubble shapes is an asset resale. If you are selling templates or an editable product where buyers can extract the underlying assets, ask us about that use first.

Your photos and words stay yours

You keep ownership of the original photographs, drawings, and text that you bring to the editor. Using our tools does not assign that ownership to AddSpeechBubble. You remain responsible for having the permissions needed to use any third-party material in your composition. A Pro purchase cannot clear a photographer’s copyright, a company’s trademark, a performer’s likeness, or a character owned by another creator.

For a commission, agree with your client about who supplies the source images and who is responsible for obtaining permission. For merchandise or advertisements, check those permissions before ordering a print run or paying to promote the image. The privacy policy explains data handling separately from this licence; permission to use an export is not a requirement to make your source photo public.

Fake messages, parody, and lookalike interfaces

Our fake-text and chat-style tools can be used for parody, fictional dialogue, storyboards, and mockups. A familiar-looking interface helps people understand a scene, but it does not mean the result is an official screenshot or that the service whose interface it resembles endorses your work. Product names, logos, and recognisable interface details may belong to their respective owners.

Do not present a generated message as a real message sent by a real person. Make the fictional or illustrative context clear, especially when a screenshot could be separated from its caption and shared elsewhere. For a training deck, label it as an example. For a story, keep it within the fictional setting. A commercial licence does not remove these responsibilities or authorise impersonation.
